Life Cycle Assessment

Consumers are becoming more aware of their impact on the environment and changing their consumption in order to lead to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. To protectively meet the needs of the marketplace, the U.S. dairy industry commissioned a life cycle assessment (LCA) of greenhouse gas emissions associated with fluid milk. The study provides a benchmark to measure the industry’s progress toward achieving its voluntary reduction goal and will serve as the foundation for the creation of best practices
