Becoming a Consistent Supplier

“Dairy Globalization Refresh: 2011 Update,” a study commissioned by the Innovation Center and supported by U.S. dairy producers through the check-off program, to re-examine the findings of a 2009 report, reaffirmed that the U.S. dairy industry’s strategic approach to become a Consistent Supplier is sound.

A suite of seven programs listed to the right has been in place since 2009 to assist the industry in achieving this goal. To evaluate progress towards the Innovation Center goal, a system of metrics and underlying data (a short version is available here) and a one-page dashboard assessment provide a real-time analysis of U.S. dairy industry performance in addressing the ongoing and progressive impacts of globalization, as well as efforts to strengthen industry competitiveness in a more volatile and globalizing industry.
