Beth Engelmann serves as executive vice president, chief marketing officer and strategic lead of business transformation for Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), which manages the national dairy checkoff on behalf of nearly 34,000 U.S. dairy farmers.
Her leadership is driven by a unique culmination of more than 20 years of business strategy, marketing and communications experience with food, health, wellness, retail and QSR companies. Engelmann is charged with leading the transformation of the organization’s marketing and communications strategy to engage with consumers and other key stakeholders in new ways to protect and grow dairy in the increasingly complex environment.
Before joining DMI, Engelmann was the general manager for Edelman’s Chicago brand team. In this role, she worked with a wide range of corporate, food and industry clients on reputation, social responsibility and sales strategies. While at Edelman, she played a key role in the development and implementation of Fuel Up to Play 60, DMI’s flagship in-school program to combat childhood obesity.
Engelmann earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a mother of three, she demonstrates a strong personal commitment to child health and wellness and is actively involved in her family’s school and community. She serves on the Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation Board and the Hospital Marketing Committee.
