Camellia Patey is the Vice President of Nutrition Affairs for School Wellness Partnerships at National Dairy Council (NDC) and has worked for the dairy industry for the past 26 years – starting at the local office in Memphis, Tenn., for Dairy MAX, moving to their regional office in Arlington, Tenn., before coming to NDC in 2001. She is a registered dietitian/nutritionist and credentialed as a school nutrition specialist.
Currently, her job duties include the management of relationships with the School Nutrition Association, Action For Healthy Kids, Food Research Action Center and NDC’s joint efforts with USDA/Food and Nutrition Services. She also provides strategic counsel to the dairy industry on school feeding programs and school nutrition.
In 2008, Camellia received the School Nutrition Association’s Individual Industry Member of the Year and in 2011 was recognized as the American Dietetic Association’s School Nutrition Service Dietetic Practice Group Award of Excellence.
She received both her Bachelor degree in Dietetics and Masters’ degree in Health from Western Kentucky University.
