Milk, cheese and yogurt are major contributors of many nutrients that are important for bone health, including calcium, phosphorus, protein and vitamin D.

The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans states that, “moderate evidence shows that intake of milk and milk products are linked to improved bone health, especially in children and adolescents.”
