The dairy industry boasts a strong legacy of caring for the land while contributing to local communities and family businesses. The awards recognize dairy farms and businesses for practices that deliver outstanding economic, environmental and/or social benefit, all helping to advance sustainability of the dairy industry.

2011 Awards Categories: 

  • The Elanco Award for Outstanding Dairy Farm Sustainability: Recognizing three dairy farm businesses, regardless of farm size, location or type of operation for demonstrating outstanding achievement in sustainability.

  • The U.S. Dairy Export Council Award for Outstanding Dairy Processing & Manufacturing Sustainability:
    Recognizing processing and manufacturing businesses for demonstrating outstanding achievement in sustainability.

  • The Center for Advanced Energy Studies/Idaho National Laboratory Award for Outstanding Achievement in Energy
    Recognizing outstanding achievement in energy conservation and/or renewable energy generation.
