Recipe Subcategory Tags Overview
Recipe Subcategory Tags Overview
Recipe subcategory tags help organize recipes and make it easier for users to find relevant content on the Recipe Listing Page.
These tags are applied to individual recipe pages and are displayed as filters on the Recipe Listing Page.
Recipe Subcategory Tag Types
Recipe subcategory tags help users find recipes based on their meal preferences, needs, occasions, and preferred dairy products. These tags appear as filters on the Recipe Listing Page.
Category Types and Purpose
The following categories define how recipes are organized and filtered on the Recipe Listing Page:
- Meal Type: identifies the meal or course for which the recipe is intended.
- Everyday Needs: highlights practical features or preparation benefits associated with the recipe.
- Occasions: identifies recipes suited to a specific event, holiday, season, or gathering.
- Dairy Products: identifies the dairy products used in the recipe.

Recipe Subcategory Tagging Best Practices
- Apply only relevant and accurate tags.
- Select multiple tags only when they clearly apply to the recipe.
- Use the approved category and tag names available in the CMS.
- Do not use tags as general keywords or search terms.
- Apply tags consistently across similar recipes.
- Review the selected tags before saving or publishing the recipe.
- Confirm that the recipe appears under the expected filters on the Recipe Listing Page.
- Do not select the parent category group. Select only the individual tags within the group.
