Kristin Harris

Ph.D.

Kristin Harris, Ph.D. is the former vice president of Regulatory Affairs at National Dairy Council responsible for regulatory guidance. She is a nutrition scientist with over 10 years of experience in nutrition strategy, nutrition research and regulatory affairs.

Dr. Harris had responsibility for providing guidance on the interpretation of food labeling regulations, translation of scientific information into nutrition claims for dairy products, and oversight of the regulatory compliance process for NDC.

Prior to joining NDC, Dr. Harris held various roles in the food industry, including nutrition strategy implementation and clinical research program leadership at General Mills and the management of nutrition research and policy efforts at Hillshire Brands, now Tyson Foods.

Dr. Harris earned a Doctorate in Nutritional Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the American Society for Nutrition.
