National Dairy Council’s webinar “Protein: Plant? Animal? Health? Planet?” will help health, wellness and sustainability professionals understand protein quality, quantity and environmental considerations for plant and animal sources of protein.

About the webinar
Trend spotters and health experts have been focusing on plant-based proteins, but what does the science say about these proteins’ quantity, quality and impact on the environment and public health?

Don Layman, PhD, explores optimal protein intake levels, protein quality and environmental considerations for plant and animal sources of protein.

And to bring the research to the table, registered dietitian, award-winning cookbook author and NDC Ambassador Toby Amidor, MS, RDN, CDN, FAND, discusses how plant and animal foods complement each other within healthy eating patterns. She also kicks off the #HaveAPlantWithDairy social media challenge that encourages participants to post pictures of delicious pairings that showcase milk, cheese and yogurt in the context of a plant-based diet, all to inspire people to build healthy eating habits.
