Kelly Brasseur

Vice President, Nutrition and Network Programs at Northern Illinois Food Bank

Kelly has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Nutrition. She received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northern Illinois University.  Kelly is a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. 

Kelly has been an editor for the American Dietetic Association Nutrition Care Manual, published in Nutrition in Clinical practice and has presented for both the American Dietetic Association and American Society for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition.

Kelly serves on the Advisory Board for Nutrition and Dietetics at Northern Illinois University and is a preceptor for the dietetic internship programs in our 13 county service area.

At the Northern Illinois Food Bank Kelly provides direction and leadership to 4 county coalition groups to ensure public wellness initiatives include the needs of the low income people we serve. Kelly has developed nutrition criteria for food procurement and purchasing to better help us serve our mission of providing nutritious food to those in need.
